This is the Captain Silas Jones House, built in 1772, and is the oldest completely brick home on Nantucket. A mix of old world charm and modern amenities, it is steps away from cobblestoned Main Street. There is a separate two bedroom, two bathroom cottage located on the property which can be rented for an additional fee. It will otherwise remain unoccupied: Cottage: Cottage on the property can be rented with the main house for an additional $2000 per week. One bedroom on the first floor has twin beds with a bathroom with shower, and a second bedroom on the second floor has a queen size bed with private bathroom with shower.

First Floor Description

First Floor: Enter into a gracious foyer with stairs leading to the second floor. To the right is a formal living room and beyond, the dining room with seating for eight guests. To the left of the foyer is the family room with a TV and beyond, the library with leather sofas and built in bookcases. A door from the library leads out to the enclosed sun porch. The back of the home includes an eat-in kitchen (seating for six) with a industrial six-burner stove and access back out to the sun porch. A powder room completes the first floor.

Second Floor Description

Second Floor: Master bedroom with a queen bed, a decorative fireplace and a private bathroom with a tub and free standing shower as well as a double vanity. Across the hallway is a bedroom with a queen bed followed by an additional bedroom with two twin beds. A forth bedroom at the end of the hallway includes a full sized bed and a small powder room. These three bedrooms share a bathroom, which is located in the hallway, with a shower and a double vanity. Third Floor: Very open and spacious bedroom with a king sized bed and a private wood-paneled bathroom with a tub and free standing shower.
