Town is considering the purchase of just over an acre (5000 sf zoning) from the Electric Company on Candle Street for $30-$50 million. The plan with the most buzz is a parking garage on the interior and retail/office/residential along the front. A vote is likely at the next Town Meeting.

Club Being Considered in Madaket
A Sportsman’s Club is being considered at the former Westender Restaurant. The club would accommodate approx. 300 equity members and require a commercial development permit. The focus would be on gear and trip outfitting with amenities including dining, locker rooms, employee housing, storage, offices and possibly bowling. Several interests are expressing concerns over traffic, parking and utilities.

RJ Miller Salon at Zero Washington has moved to its 6 Amelia Drive location. Well known shoe store from Sarasota, FL; Addison Craig from St Armands Circle will be moving in this Spring. |
