Land Bank Purchases Orange Street Property for $5 Million
The 1.4 acre parcel includes two houses and a dock on the salt marsh known as The Creeks located at the edge of town with a view of Monomoy. The property extends from 158 Orange St. to the water, and abuts to the south an eight-acre parcel the Land Bank already owns. In 2008 the Land Bank took in around $11 million. |

Just when you think it couldn't get any
worse, Congress passes a bill to restrict H-1B visas, which are
issued to skilled foreign workers. Let's protect our domestic workers. Right?
Wrong. Over the last decade over 50% of Silicon Valley start-ups
were founded by immigrants to the tune of about 500,000 new workers.
But. Oh no. Let's say we pay for education and health care for
illegals. Now that's an idea whose time has come.
