Preparing Septic Systems for the Rental Season
Homeowners- please remember that septic systems should be inspected every 1-2 years, and pumped when necessary. Septic systems are similar to automobiles, in that with good care and maintenance they work properly for long periods of time. Please consider having your system inspected PRIOR to the rental season, there are only a few companies on island who provide this service and once summer arrives they are very busy. It can be crucial to a tenant's happy stay, and repeat return. |

| NOTES FROM PEPPER THE ELDER |
Powers of Observation
Peter Lynch was the fabulously successful manager of Fidelity Magellan. One of his methods for determining an investment was observation. As an example, once when he was in a Stop and Shop he noticed that ladies at the check-out counter were gobbling up a stocking product called L'Eggs. He investigated, found out the parent company, and invested. He quadrupled his, and his clients' money. Well, I've noticed something very positive. A month ago car washes were virtually empty, now they're backed up. A car wash is not a necessity, so people must be feeling positive about the economy. Which means what? Time to stop sitting on those green backs and INVEST. |
