RENTAL BUZZ
  Spring Rental Trends

Leases are up! JPFCO has done approximately 16% more leases for 2011 then at this time in 2010.

Many requests are still coming in, especially for houses who will permit a pet.

JPFCO has already received several rental requests for 2012.

All in all, the homeowners seem to agree that bookings are up from last year, and the rental climate seems very positive.

Don't hesitate to call, we still have great houses available to rent!

NANTUCKET REAL ESTATE NEWSWIRE

NOTES FROM PEPPER THE ELDER
  Lessons

Okay class, settle down. I'm scratching my head here. Have you been paying attention?
Question #1. What is the official currency of the world? The dollar, the good 'ol sawbuck. That's correct; good going. Now, in it's el supremo capacity, how is a barrel of oil paid for? The dollar again. Good. Now that we've got that behind us. Whew. Follow the line.
Question #2. If oil is paid for in dollars and we've got something called quantitative easing going on, which is essentially the printing of dollars, not backed up by anything. No gold, no silver, no nothing. Does it stand to reason (and stop and screw on your thinking hats tightly) that the price of oil will accelerate. How about gold? silver? copper? titanium? If you're getting the same amount of gallons, troy onces, pounds, etc. yet paying more dollars, which do you want to own? Don't rush out and melt down your golf clubs; hmm, on second thought.
Question #3, and the final question. What is utopia? What is nirvana? A house on Nantucket with a basement full of silver, gold, cooper and melted down golf clubs, and not to forget the autographed pictures of Mr. Ed. Live the dream, mate.
