GROUND NOTES FROM DALTON
  Ahhh…

"Now I don't know, but I been told it's hard to run with the weight of gold, Other hand, I have heard it said, it's just as hard with the weight of lead." -GD

Mine as well run with the finest gold.

NOTES FROM PEPPER THE ELDER
  Cat's Meow

Although I haven't read it yet, Vogue has a laudatory piece on Sarasota that I gather very much mirrors my sentiments. Why, you might ask, haven't you invested in the hamlet? Well, the answer is that I'm not sure if it's going to be over-built. I mean 35-40 residential buildings under construction is a lot to absorb. Boca Grande is protected by something called the Gasparilla Act. You cannot commit the sins, which are manifold, of Nantucket in circumventing zoning. Laws are laws, and they're on the books for a reason. Don't get me wrong; Nantucket is still the cat's meow, but it was not meant to be a haven for affordable housing.

As I've said, ad nauseam, if you can't afford to live there. Don't.
