According to LINK, Nantucket&#8217;s main multiple listing service, there were 478 transactions this year compared to 527 last year.  Last year, total volume was almost $1,000,000,000.00 to the dollar.  So, volume down 15% and transactions down 10% would lead many to think that values were down.  But, the real story is values were up, measured by median value, but high-end ($10mm+) transactions were down by almost 50%.  Think about it, it would only take five $30mm transactions to make up the volume difference.
