Nantucket’s more aptly known not as a girl<\/em>, but as a lady<\/em>, the Grey Lady<\/em>. However, that line rings very true for her. Yes, there is extraordinary wealth on Island and most will probably never see the stack of private jets as seen on a July\/August week at Nantucket Memorial Airport as they will anywhere else in their lives. But, Nantucket is not about wealth. She’s about giving and being given. She’s an amazing place for all kinds to mingle, respect and feel blessed they are who they are on an amazing island. As Prince also sang, “You don’t have to be cool To rule my world.” Nantucket has its share of clubs and private places, but how about all of the other places that rule everyone’s world. For instance, Children’s Beach – an amazing beach with a lifeguard, top notch playground, a field for sport and\/or relaxing, a venue for anything from musicians to puppeteers to magicians and a snack bar; Lily Pond field to relax and eat a sandwich; untouched beaches like Coatue, which is primarily conservation and open to the public, and the list goes on. Nantucket is special in so many ways, but big ones are bringing all walks of life together with respect for each other and for a gorgeous island.<\/p>\n To put it in perspective, just yesterday, one of my close friends asked me to borrow $20 so he could get a Henry’s sub, etc. and said he would pay me back on Friday when he got his paycheck.
