If the market is working, the good or service will get bid to market value.<\/p>\n<p>Well, seems like the Nantucket real estate market is working. Recently, we listed a bank owned property. We recommended a price to the bank and the bank gave us instructions to list below our recommendation (that&#8217;s a first). When we put the property on the market, the phones were ringing off the hook! We had multiple offers immediately, so the Seller instructed us to call for highest and best. We called for highest and best and had nine offers within 24 hours of listing the property!!! The deal hasn&#8217;t closed yet, so I can&#8217;t tell the closing number, but I will after the deal closes. What I can tell you is the invisible hand of economics showed its might once again.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>Market economies work and so does the Nantucket real estate market.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Set the ask for the good or service below market value and see what happens.
