It's Official!

The residents of Nantucket have voted to officially add short-term rentals as a permitted use in all zoning districts on Nantucket, except for an obscure zone near the airport, ending a five-year stalemate. Similar articles in the past received majority approval, but because they were zoning articles, they required at least two-thirds support, which they hadn't achieved until now. The article that just passed received 71% support, with 1,041 in favor and 421 against.

Now, short-term rental regulations can be changed via a general bylaw, which only requires a simple majority. That was a long haul.

The market is well on its way to being the second-biggest year in history.

Creative Deals and Smart Wins

What an incredible second summer we've been enjoying, with great weather, plenty of deals, and bushels of scallops. With low inventory and pent-up demand for the blue-chip real estate on the island we call home, creativity is key to making it happen for our clients.

The Buyer followed our advice and won the sealed bid by just a few thousand dollars.
