The Tom Nevers area is a secret gem of Nantucket Island. This area offers you peace and quiet from the summer crowds without being too far away from the historic downtown area. Tom Nevers beach is located 1.5 miles down the road and has miles of secluded beachfront that is never crowded in the summer. Use the Milestone bike path to head to the quaint town of Siasconset (2 miles) or head to town (5 miles). If you are looking for a great workout, the bike path connects to the Polpis bike path to create a 30-mile loop. Also located within a half mile of the bus stop "The Wave" which will take you to the historic downtown shops or local beaches. Tom Never's is a rural setting surrounded by conservation land and many walking paths leading to beaches and the moors. Next to Tom Nevers Beach you can find a children's playground, outdoor roller rink, basketball hoops, and baseball fields with beautiful views of the ocean.
