Barbara Clarke

After more than three decades on Nantucket, Barbara Clarke offers clients a deep understanding of the island's unique real estate landscape. Originally from Skerries, a coastal town north of Dublin, she discovered Nantucket in 1993 through family and quickly made it her home.

Barbara became a licensed real estate professional in 2003 and has built a reputation for integrity, local knowledge, and thoughtful client service. Sharp-witted and lovely to work with, her rare authenticity will enhance your real estate experience. Her long-standing ties to the community, through organizations such as the Friends of Nantucket Public Schools and her six years of service on the board of the Artist Association of Nantucket-offer clients valuable insight and connections. She is also the co-founder of the Turkey Plunge, a beloved Nantucket Thanksgiving tradition that raises funds for the Weezie Library for Children - reflecting her deep commitment to the island she calls home.

In addition to her real estate work, Barbara is an active member of the island's creative community, with experience as a Nantucket basket weaver and photographer. Her eye for detail and design informs her approach to presenting and marketing properties.

Barbara lives near the South Shore with her husband, Carl, of Clarke Brothers Construction, and their three sons. She enjoys reading, long beach walks, cooking, hiking, photography and swimming, and often draws on these everyday experiences when speaking about Real Estate, community, creativity, and all that goes into building a meaningful life.
