Eric Urbahn

Eric Urbahn has called Nantucket home for much of his life, and after years away, the island has called him back. Joining J Pepper Frazier Company as a real estate agent, Eric brings a distinct combination of expertise to his clients: a lifetime of experience as a practicing architect paired with a deep, personal knowledge of Nantucket itself.

A member of the American Institute of Architects, Eric spent well over 25 years as an architect working across the United States, Africa, and the Middle East before relocating to the Dominican Republic in 1996. His Nantucket career included years working alongside well-known architect Chris Holland, where he developed an intimate working knowledge of the Historic District Commission, the Nantucket Planning and Zoning process, and the particular complexities of building and renovating on the island. He has owned, designed, and renovated several homes on Nantucket himself, which gives him a perspective on property that goes far beyond the transaction.

Eric's connection to Nantucket runs well beyond the office. He helped establish the Nantucket Community Sailing Program and spent many years sailing and racing at the Nantucket Yacht Club. He served as Past Chairman of the Opera House Classic Yacht Regatta. And in 1993, he completed a three-year voyage around the globe aboard his 51-foot sailboat, Finback, earning the Waring Partridge Circumnavigation Award from the New York Yacht Club. When not on Nantucket, Eric can often be found at his cottage on the rugged coast of Maine.

As an agent at JPFCO, Eric channels that same passion for Nantucket into guiding buyers, sellers, and investors through every facet of the real estate process. His architectural background allows him to see every property through an expert lens, helping clients evaluate potential, understand construction and design considerations, and make confident decisions at every stage of their real estate journey.
