Originally from Lithuania, Vilma Vadoklis first time visited Nantucket in summer of 2004 through the "Work and Travel" student program. She loved the Island so much that she was coming every summer until moved year round in 2008. She was working all kinds of jobs - babysitting, resale stores, restaurants, managing a busy local flooring company for years until she successfully opened a bookkeeping service business and still manages it while being a real estate agent. Vilma never imagined herself living in the United States in the first place. She graduated from Law School back home and holds a master degree in European Union Law and was seeing herself working in Brussels or Strasbourg or any other European Union Institution but after she met her husband on Nantucket, she decided to stay here and says it is one of the best decisions of her life. They are raising 2 daughters and enjoy everything Nantucket has to offer -from beaches, hiking trails to restaurants and local activities. Vilma has a deep understanding of the finances behind real estate. She understands construction cost from her bookkeeping experience as she is closely working with some well known island general contractors.
