So, the Grey Lady got hit hard by Blizzard Juno, but she weathered it well. Not only did she weather it well, Nantucketers weathered it well and came together to help each other out. I heard of many instances where there were open invites to come over from homeowners with power to homeowners without power. One part of these storms that always really interests me, though, is there is rarely any damage to houses by the actual storm; yes, erosion and every now and then tree limbs do damage, but the Nantucket houses weather these storms amazingly. Some of these houses are 100 – 200+ years old and they don’t even have a shingle blow off. Really goes to show the Nantucket craftsman did and still does know what he is doing. Off to Scottsdale – go Pats!!!
