Over the weekend, I was fortunate enough to have the chance to see, with my parents and a very close friend, two of the greatest tennis players, Federer and Djokovic, battle on Center Court at Arthur Ashe Stadium. Does not get much better than that; a truly stunning display of athleticism. While away, people are always intrigued when I say I live on Nantucket and even more intrigued when I say my brother and I own a real estate brokerage firm on Nantucket. Without fail, I always get, “Can I get anything for a million bucks?” The answer is “Yes!” For instance, there is a 3 bedroom in Tom Nevers on 1.1 acres for $950K, a 5 bedroom free-standing condo. Mid-Island for $970K and a 4 bedroom in Miacomet on half an acre for $998K. If the question were, “Can I get anything for half a million bucks?”, then the answer would be much different, but a million bucks can still get you a solid piece of the Rock. Don’t wait too long, though, I may not have the same answer next year.
