Nantucket has an amazing community, year-round and summer alike. Whenever Nantucket faces adversity, the community comes together as one. There are Always, with a capital “A”, people willing to lend a hand. Hurricane Sandy has been no different-“Do you need a hand buttoning down the hatches?”, “Is your family okay?”, “Let me know what I can do to help.”, etc. I feel so fortunate to live in such a community, as the feeling of unity is very comforting. Sandy was a big one for many, but Nantucket was spared for the most part. I, as well as I’m sure the rest of the Nantucket community, send our warmest prayers and best wishes to those who were adversely affected!
On a real estate note, the last time the following view of Nantucket Sound from end of Jefferson Ave. existed was in the 1930’s. Check it out while you can because the lumber is coming soon…
