14 Sheep Pond Road • $12,000 - $16,000
Madaket, Nantucket, MA
Perched above the beach in Madaket, this charming three-bedroom home offers spectacular ocean views and private stairs leading directly down to the sand. An inviting upside-down layout places the main living space on the second level to take full advantage of the views, and ductless mini-splits on both levels keep everyone comfortable throughout the stay.
First Floor Description
The first level is home to all three bedrooms, each bright and comfortably furnished with wide-plank pine floors, white beamed ceilings, and soft coastal touches. There is a bedroom with a king bed, a second with a queen, and a cheerful bunk room with a twin daybed and trundle alongside a set of bunk beds, ideal for younger guests. Two full bathrooms feature marble-tiled walk-in showers, and a laundry area adds convenience.
Second Floor Description
Upstairs, the open living, dining, and kitchen area is filled with natural light beneath white beamed cathedral ceilings. The living room centers around a white brick fireplace, with slipcovered sofas, striped armchairs, and built-in shelves. The well-equipped kitchen offers stainless steel appliances, including a gas range, a blue tile backsplash, and counter seating, while the farmhouse dining table looks out to the water. A half bathroom completes this level, and French doors from the kitchen and living room open onto the deck.
Outdoor Space
The second-level deck runs the length of the house, with outdoor furniture for dining and lounging and sweeping views of the ocean. Stairs lead from the property down to the beach, and a covered deck on the first level faces the water. There is also an outdoor shower, a gas grill, and parking for three vehicles.
